What it does.

  1. Trees by species, age, and condition.

    Every tree as a point on the map, with species, approximate age, height, spread and condition, from excellent to removed. Link a tree to a TPO and it shows as protected on the map and in the register.

  2. Hedgerow Regulations 1997 protection.

    Mark hedges as "important" under the Hedgerow Regulations 1997, for reasons such as pre-1845 enclosure, species richness or archaeology. Removing a countryside hedgerow needs a hedgerow removal notice to the LPA first. SAMRISK keeps the determination and the evidence.
