What it does.

Every TPO on the site.
TPO number, council, order date, confirmed date and the schedule, the legal description of what is protected. Individual, group, area and woodland orders, each drawn on the site map. Orders in a conservation area are flagged.

When you log a consent application, SAMRISK sets the LPA decision deadline from the submission date and counts down the days, in red within a week and amber within two. Change the date if the council confirms a different one.

Questions.

Does SAMRISK auto-fetch TPOs from my council?

No. You search your council's planning portal once and add the orders, and SAMRISK keeps them from then on.

What if the eight-week deadline passes without a decision?

The application does not approve itself. If the LPA has not decided within eight weeks you can appeal to the Planning Inspectorate against non-determination. SAMRISK keeps the application open as pending until you record the outcome.

Do conservation area notices work the same way?

No. A conservation area s211 notice runs on a six-week clock, during which the LPA can decide to make a TPO. Consent applications for trees already under a TPO run on eight weeks. SAMRISK flags orders in a conservation area so you know a notice may apply.
