What it does.

A register of what is in every building.
Add items from a standard catalogue, such as a fire extinguisher, smoke detector or emergency light. Record the serial number, manufacturer, install date and location, and track condition.

A QR label for every item.
Every item has its own QR code carrying its unique reference. Download it or print a label and stick it on the asset, so the label always matches the record.

Log pass or fail.
Each inspection records pass or fail, who inspected, condition and notes. The next inspection date moves on from the last one automatically.

Questions.

What does the QR code do?

It carries the item's unique reference, so a label can always be matched to its record. Scanning a code does not open the record in SAMRISK, so search for the item number instead.

Can I bulk-import items?

Not yet. Items are added one at a time, and the catalogue type fills in the inspection interval for you.

What if a QR label comes off?

Reprint it. The code is permanent for that item, so the new label matches the old one.

Can I use NFC tags instead of QR?

Not at the moment. SAMRISK prints QR labels.

Are inspections optional?

Yes. Items work as a plain register. Turn on inspections, with an interval, where they matter.
