What it will do.

  1. Policies, with their renewal dates.

    Planned: building insurance, public liability, employers' liability, contents and engineering cover, each with insurer, policy number, cover amount, premium, start and end dates.

    • A company-wide register shared across buildings
    • Policies scoped to a single building where needed
    • Valid, expiring and expired status at a glance
    • The certificate stored with each policy

  2. Equipment warranties in one register.

    Planned: a register for each building covering lift contracts, boiler warranties and similar cover, with manufacturer, equipment, what is covered and dates. Items in the asset register can already hold a warranty expiry date today.

    • Scoped to the building the equipment is in
    • Equipment and manufacturer recorded
    • Start and end dates with a status
    • The warranty certificate stored with each record

  3. Renewal warnings before cover lapses.

    Planned: warnings ahead of each end date so renewals are not missed. Until then, insurance renewals can be added as deadlines on the compliance calendar.

Is this available now?

Not yet. Insurance and warranties is planned and not part of any plan today. Until it ships, you can add insurance renewals to the compliance calendar and record a warranty expiry date on items in the asset register.

Will it alert me before policies expire?

That is the plan. Warnings will go out ahead of each end date and follow each user's notification preferences.

Will I be able to split policies by building?

Yes, that is planned. A policy will optionally reference a building, and company-wide policies will leave it blank.

Will I be able to upload the certificate?

Yes, that is planned. Each policy will hold its certificate, stored privately.

What will happen to old policies after they expire?

They will stay on record, marked as expired, for broker reviews and past compliance checks.
