What it does.

  1. Every SuDS feature catalogued.

    Swales, ponds, soakaways, attenuation tanks, green roofs, permeable paving, rain gardens, bioretention, wetlands, detention basins, filter strips and rainwater harvesting, each plotted on the site map with capacity, outfall, condition and installer.

    • 13 feature types

  2. SAB approval recorded, evidence preserved.

    Record the SAB (SuDS approving body) reference, approval date and supporting drawings. Year 1 and year 5 inspection dates are filled in from the installation date when you add a feature, and you can change them.

Does this apply outside England?

SuDS approving bodies under Schedule 3 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 have operated in Wales since January 2019. In England, check whether Schedule 3 applies to your development. The register works the same wherever the site is.

What about adoption by the local authority?

Adoption arrangements vary by area. Record the adoption status in the maintenance notes and attach the agreement.
